Bits & bites of work in progress – a succesful test of the collapse combined with the dance. Laser scanning + Fiming > Marker-free motion capture > 3DMAX + PFlow + Ember + Krakatoa + ***** > Vimeo Huge thanks to Thinkbox Software for tremendous help & support. thinkboxsoftware.com
I knew that a transition between point clouds visualization and film footage of the dancing scene would present quite a challenge. Finally, it looks like I’m on the right track. Here it is: Fiming > Marker-free motion capture > 3DMAX + PFlow + Ember + Krakatoa > Vimeo. You may track our production progress at: [...]
I’m privileged to have aboard another talented artist – a composer Mateusz Zdziebko – working on the music for the Rebirth. Mateusz already delivered a proof of his extraordinary creativity by providing very original soundtrack ideas for all the three parts of the movie. I guess, we’ll manage to surprise you with the final result. [...]
Another huge step on a way of shaping the final result was made – we finalized the voice over recording. Huge thanks to Daniel Bean, Barbara Dunlea, Shona Kay and Andrew White for their amazing work and astonishing commitment to the story. So now, this unique place got its voice. I’m excited to experience how [...]
In June, 2012 I had a chance to work on a film set in the old abandoned church in Pisarzowice. The production details need to remain undisclosed for a while. However, for that production, Lukasz Trzcinski made a very interesting set design including sculptures of 2 angels and a fallen angel on the floor. For [...]
I had a very pleasing chat today with Thomas Phariss of Thinkbox Software. The good news is that Thinkbox is supporting Rebirth with their software! That’s a great news and the post production will definitely get different pace now with Krakatoa, Deadline and probably Frost. Huge thanks!
Thanks to an amazing job by Daniel Bean I’have just got the final version of the voiceover script for Rebirth. After just 4 revisions Daniel managed not only to express my initial ideas, but also overcome my expectations in terms of style and texture of entire verbal narrative. What a good day! Huge thanks!
Shooting Irena Lipińska again. This time using optical marker-free motion capture system with 6 cameras. The data will be used in the transition sequence between Scene 2 and 3… Can’t tell anything more about it.
After quite long time of thinking and refinements (I don’t want to spoil it!) I got the structure of the film ready about March, 2012. Huge thanks for Damian Perea for giving me a hand and guiding me through the process by asking the right questions! But that’s just a structure and a canvas. Since March there [...]
Half year later it looks like I found much better tool for visualizing pointcloud data. Thinkbox Software’s Krakatoa and volumetric particle rendering gives quite promising results, so much better then what I managed to pull out of the same dataset in December with Autodesk Helix. Render times are very good, however adding DOF makes it again [...]
